There are several convenient ways to secure threads before starting work. Choose the method that best suits your project and workspace.

📎 Method 1 — Clips

Arrange the threads in the required order and secure them to a book using a binder clip or any other clip of sufficient size. This method is simple and allows you to easily adjust the thread position.

📋 Method 2 — Clipboard

Arrange the threads in the desired order and fix them using a clipboard clip. This method provides firm fixation and keeps the threads well aligned.

📌 Method 3 — Pin and Knot

Tie the threads together with a knot and secure them with a pin to clothing (for example, jeans) or to a pillow.
⚠️ Note: The start may be uneven and may require straightening later.

If you want to create a key-chain on a pin or achieve a smooth start without knots, attach the threads directly to the pin using loops. This method provides a neat and even beginning.

🔌 Method 5 — Tape

Secure the threads to a table or book using electrical/duck tape. This method is quick, reliable, and works well for longer projects.
